I wondered through prolonged singleness for many years, searching for my identity. I was stuck in patterns of unhealthy behavior. And I struggled with unfulfilled places in my life that I was ashamed to talk about. Often, I wondered what I was doing wrong, and why I hadn’t achieved specific goals that I had set for my life. I felt so discouraged. But God took me through a series of experiences that opened doors in my life. He answered prayers, and revealed to me new levels of my identity. He showed me a new way to identify with who He called me to be, outside of my marital status. The “starts and stops” in my journey caused me to create this space. I know how discouraging it can be to want to achieve a goal that seems nearly impossible. I have walked in your shoes, and have been blessed to meet my purpose on the other side of my pain.
